Hi, we didnt analyse astrocytes in that dataset. But maybe this helps you further, this study looked at astrocytes in EM data (cortex) www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
Connectomic analysis of astrocyte-synapse interactions in the cerebral cortex
Astrocytes, a main type of glia cells in the cortex, provide metabolic support to neurons, and their possible function as a synaptic partner has given rise to the notion of “tripartite” synapses, sugg...

Thanks! This looks like a glia cell to me, but to be sure one would need to follow it a bit to see if the processes are glia like.

…and we used this and our other datasets to sample systematically how a mouse’s memory networks are configured synaptically www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... . Totally stunned by how special CA1 and CA3 are at the synaptic weight level!
Connectomic traces of Hebbian plasticity in the entorhinal-hippocampal system
The key model of how we learn and memorize is Hebbian learning in the hippocampus, via long-term potentiation of synapses, allowing the storage of associations, linkage to places, and their consolidat...
