A very personal perspective on linguistic relativity
As scientists we are used to making statements that have general validity. "The water molecules in your body may have the formula H2O, but you don't know mine" is not bringing you far in academia.

I want to build a model for a clinical event risk, using covariates that may be carried forward from the past, so I want to use some kind of weight to reduce influence of old values. I thought on including z*exp(-a*t) as predictors but how to deal with correlated predictors? Any ideas/refs?
