So incredible to see a snow leopard in the wild. A memory that will live with me. The animal was over 600 m away, it was around -20 C and we were at about 4500 m. Difficult photography conditions. #wildlife #snowleopard #india

I have just watched Mark Z claim the need for the removal of moderation is (in part) due to the biases and false positives on Meta. Should someone tell him about AI? 🤖 🤷🏼‍♀️ Honestly how thin is that argument. Instead of making the platforms more biased and dangerous perhaps he could use some …tech?

One thing you will never think after reading a great book or listening to a great album or seeing a great piece of art is, “I’m really glad this person remained cautious while they were making this and guarded against being perceived as weird.”

Ok only going to say this once. If you use someone’s photo 1) ask permission, 2) assign credit. Anything else is rude

Braided River, Mackenzie District, NZ. Taken from a helicopter with its doors off. A whole lot of fun and a little bit scary. Braided rivers are so important for a number of native birds - the colour is caused by glacial flour #landscape #photography #river #newzealand

A massive thank you to @bsky.app and the Bluesky community for providing a platform that is inspiring, entertaining and informative. I needed it.

The endangered alpine parrot 🦜 the kea are one of my absolute favorite birds. Found only in the South Island of NZ these birds can problem solve faster than a human can think “better put away my lens cap”

Atlantic puffin - photo taken earlier this year on Shetland. Seriously, how could you not love these wee birds. Sadly, however, their food source is being depleted for things such as fertilizer for the flower industry or animal feed - we need to do better #puffin #wildlife #bird #conservation

Oh it’s so good to be here on Bluesky and it was so good to be there - Churchill, Manitoba. Watching bears waiting for the ice to form was an humbling and sobering experience. The change ice season is beyond worrying #wildlife #wildlifephotography
