I don't use Cloudflare for any of my websites or self-hosted apps, but unfortunately my school's intranet does, so happy Cloudflare outage day to me, yay.

After having experienced the longest unexpected water supply disruption in my life back in late May, I could have never predicted that I had to go through another unscheduled long water supply cut in the same year:

There was already a *lot* going on with Bluesky, and now it's under even more pressure. I wrote about how I think about moderation, affordances, expectations, human needs, and powerful trolls for @techpolicypress.bsky.social

I finally completed and passed the first project in 42 the computer science school's core curriculum! 🎉

To celebrate the occasion, I've decided to have a long weekend, especially since next Monday is also a public holiday in Malaysia (specifically Deepavali).

THE Eleventy Meetup Episode 27 was a success! I am glad to have the opportunity to speak at the meetup again. Unfortunately, I was encountering issues with sharing my screen on Zoom's Linux desktop app, so I had to switch to Zoom's web app.
Last year, I got to speak at a tech event for the first time in THE Eleventy Meetup. This year, I will be speaking at THE Eleventy Meetup again on October 15, 2025!

This time, I will be talking about building a multilingual blog with Eleventy.

Yesterday I finished the first project from 42 the school's core programme, but failed the evaluation.

I need to wait for another day to retry the project, so I am taking a day off today, which also helps with giving me more time to prepare for my talk at The Eleventy Meetup.

I have migrated my AT Protocol personal data server (PDS) from Bluesky to Blacksky.

The migration went smoothly; all I needed to do is following the migration guide on Blacksky's documentation: docs.blacksky.community/migrating-to...

Complete guide to migrating your Bluesky account to Blacksky's infrastructure. Covers migration tools, step-by-step instructions, troubleshooting, and how to use Blacksky services without migrating.

Seriously, though, I decided that I refuse to use Vercel as soon as I found out that the CEO congratulated and kissed up to Trump just after Trump got re-elected.

Finally beat the main game of A Short Hike after having it sitting in my Steam Library for a long time. I recommend it if you want a game with a peaceful vibe where the main game can be done in only a few hours, but still has many side activities you can do even after beating the game.

a web that isn't human-first is a web I want nothing to do with. I'm not going to "optimize the graph" of assertions, or whatever. I'm not a content farm for your algorithm. i'm here to build real relationships with real people - and if that's not what the web is for anymore, I'll be somewhere else.
