Foliage dog, Crick(et).
My dog, Crick(et), really loves sticks. In this photo you can see him proudly carrying an entire leafy branch in his mouth. He looks hilarious but dignified. It’s the red harness, and his black/white/brown collieness for sure. But the stick has so much foliage he’s having trouble walking. Crick(et), my lovely smoothie (smooth collie), carrying a foliage branch proudly in his red harness.

Crick(et) found a stick this morning. The stick was Too Big. He didn’t want help carrying it. The stick did not make it home (for once).

Crick(et)’s tail is standing at a weird angle (kinda looks like a lightning bolt?) and one of his ears is more folded than the other. As a photogenic dog, he knows to stare right at the camera.

I got me a lapdog.

Of the last 5 train journeys I’ve made, all involving going into or coming out of London, all 5 have been delayed or disrupted in some way. It’s exhausting. It’s a good thing that I have a Crick(et) at home to make up for it.

Cricket came for coffee today. Lots of people is still overwhelming, so now he’s chilling inside.

Crick(et), a four month old smooth collie puppy who definitely has ears. (He’s sitting looking at the camera with his head turned, but he must have been mid-movement when the photo was taken because the ears are blurry, making him look as tho he doesn’t have ears).

Maybe he hasn’t figured out chairs if this is how he climbs them?
Crick(et), a tric collie puppy, pulls himself up onto a Poang chair by pulling his body up between the chair seat and the armrest. He won’t fit that hole for long. Crick(et), a tric collie puppy, rests his head against the backrest of a Poang Ikea chair, after the superdogly effort of pulling himself up on it.

I’m currently in China for a conference (hello Suzhou!), and I miss my dog. Thankfully technology means I get regular updates on Crick(et). Including him watching his favourite show (people blowing on bottles).

The snails are out in droves in Cambridge. Not sure what this was about but we saw dozens today!
