Conservative/libertarian ideology dictates that it's your own fault if you can't afford those things & that you should *work harder*. 💯 agree it is also political failure/incompetence in a country with such immense resources. Where's our #SovereignFund? Our (dumb) luck has run out.

What is the point? Market manipulation and insider trading are WHITE collar crimes so we should just look the other way. It's not as if there will be any consequences.

It comes down to ego & power. Imagine the curse of having more $$$ than you could spend in a lifetime & still craving more. Seems to be an even split in Australia between billionaires like that & those who seem well balanced
