I encourage every UK citizen facing systemic and/or domestic abuse to evoke your right to audio record for personal use under one party consent.

Do not play the audio to anybody without all party consent, or a court order.

Can voice recordings be used in court? - Family Law Assistance
Can voice recordings be used in court? Like a lot of legal questions it's not a simple `yes' or `no' - here's what you need to know.

This is the rockiest rock bottom of my life. And that's saying something.

As the year’s longest month continues, you may consider abandoning your Dry January plans.

Before you crack open a bottle, check out these functional drinks that keep you sober while recreating some of the buzz of booze.

Here is my most recent article for Leafie about the rise of two-tier healthcare in the UK and the impacts on the working-class.

As the NHS faces greater strain, more people are choosing to pay for private healthcare in the UK. Those on lower incomes are being forced into making tough decisions between food, shelter and their health.

I’ve spent decades pushing through, and getting over needle phobia because I have to! Then last week they literally hit a nerve. My arm has been bad ever since.

Not quite sure how I’m supposed to turn up again now that the fear is so real!

We were just having a nice game of family capitalism when this one decide it’s time for Miaowism… soz Chairman!

I’m absolutely enthralled by the debate on whether this image is AI generated.

On the one hand, a scorched Oscar is a reasonable scenario for an incinerated Hollywood. So does it matter?

On the other, can we really accept a world where computer generated interpretations eclipse primary sources?

Don’t worry, I am 🤪

Some interesting insight into drug use and the brain. Gateway theory (in my humble opinion) is outdated, and harmful to progress.

“These differences were noted before and after drug use, which suggests a predetermination for drug use, which doesn’t align with the gateway drug theory.”

Today I found out that my membership with the NUJ has been approved. This is such a great step forward for me 🥹

Freelancing can be so isolating, especially straight out of uni, so it’s nice to be part of something bigger than me!

What is it about hold music that stifles my capacity to multitask? I spend at least 3 hours a week on hold and can’t even manage to get menial tasks done alongside. All that time wasteeeeddddddddd.

Six hospital appointments this week alone.

Being disabled is like a full time job, one that doesn't give me enough time to work on my actual job.

Doesn't pay well either, there are a lot of toilet breaks though 🚽🧻

National curriculum chat on @lbc today…

Unpopular opinion: we possibly need to look backwards not forwards.

Dewy’s education model has been sorely overlooked for over a century already!

Today's charity shop find, a #vintage Hohner, Little Lady harmonica pin. Yes, I will wear and play it everywhere I go!

I think the Iphone’s new call recording function is a top tier addition for everyday accessibility.

Can't tell you how many people do their jobs properly and dial back the discrimination once they hear those sweet five words.

“This call is being recorded.”

Bagged this for my first Ed collection. Can't wait to read the first chapter and see if Wells was on the money!

I love rescuing old books from impending landfill and while they're all special to me, some are more special than others.

This 1864 print of Shakespeare’s Much Adoe About Nothing is definitely going on the extra special shelf.

Books are for life, not just for Christmas. Adopt, don't shop 😉

Getting adverts for a Christmas Serrano ham when ya really can only afford wafer thin, has got to be one of the worst parts of the festive season.

Bah humbug!

Jay Z calls for criminal charges to be filed in place of a civil lawsuit claiming he raped a 13-year-old girl, alongside Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, at a VMA afterparty in 2000.

Act of innocence or capitalisation of poor rape conviction stats?!

Booked tickets for Wicked at the cinema on Christmas day for the family. Bish bash Bosh, Christmas shopping done, and no wrapping.

My kids will get loads from others, they don't need more off me, time is key!

I'm very lucky to live near to the beautiful #PeakDistrict and even on miserable days it never fails to make me smile. Throwback to my last rainy walk as my legs are not playing ball recently.

The man in my local charity shop laughed at me when I bought this teapot set, he said he didn't think anybody would ever buy it, and couldn't believe I planned on using it.

I think it’s bloody beautiful.

Not the cup obviously, that's vintage sarcasm at best.
