-- me. There's no telling when someone might want to make a statue of me."

His narcism shined through in a moment like this, but he reached under his cape, offering the Half-Elf his mirror.

"You can take my word for it, you're beautiful, but you should see for yourself."

"You're welcome, Emilia."

He offered her the rose he had replaced. The yellow flower ornament he had gifted her would probably look best on her in summer, with brighter colors, he thought. But regardless, she was beautiful.

"But of course we have a mirror. It's a given I would carry one with --

"Ice skating? Hm... I don't think I have. Unless you count that time we ran from a bunch of Slaads across a frozen lake, haha."

She was a gentle soul. He could tell after knowing her for barely an hour. She was truly kind.

He couldn't help but watch her with a smile as she hopped up and down, waving after the children, before she turned towards him.

"Well, you have every reason to be happy then, Emilia. Those kids had --

"Much better, even. It's another hair ornament."

"Don't worry, I'll give it right back," he laughed.

"Close your eyes for a moment."

If she did, some rustling could be heard, a hand reaching for the side of her head, fiddling with her hair for only a moment.

"Alright, you can open them."

His eyes wandered to the flower, but soon found her gaze, a smile on his lips. With a nod, he spoke, his voice gentle and warm.

"Mhm. It suits you perfectly, just as I thought it would. Except... May I?"

He gestured for the flower.

Inside, she would find a small hair ornament in the shape of a flower. A Yellow Gerbera.

"Merry Christmas, Emilia."

The children were called inside for dinner by their parents, and the sun began to set, as the Hero approached the half-elf once more.

"Hey, thanks again for entertaining those kids, Emilia. They sure were having a ton of fun."

A smile curved along his lips. There was nothing quite like a child's joy to fight the darkness in one's heart.

"Alright!"

Himmel declared, laughing, as Emilia was lead away.

"They're making an army, so we better not lose!"

It was an hour or so later, that the giant snow-family --

Himmel thought the silver girl seemed a bit insecure. She had brought the children so much joy, and yet still seemed to see herself as an intruder.

But rather than refuting those thoughts himself, it was one of the children, a girl, and her friends welcoming the half-elf, who proved her --

"You're a mage, right? I hear changing or influencing the weather is powerful magic."

"In that case, you might want to thank the kids instead of me."

Himmel, meanwhile was put hard to work again. With one of the children jumping and clinging to his back, he rolled a large snowball through the fresh snow, increasing its size.

"It's nice to meet you, Emilia."

With that smile, --
