I'm told we once had public health departments. And they would give people vaccinations. You know, for public health? Legends say some of them did things like testing and treating some things, too. They even employed nurses and other professionals! It's a nice story to tell, anyway.

The only reason you sort of knew where parts of the border were was very large lakes (aka Great Lakes) and rivers and stuff. But land borders? vOv except by crossings. I bet they put in some weird electronic monitoring, or something in some places.

Wow, that's, just. I mean, I grew up going back and forth on a whim. We got a lot of our winter sports gear over there because exchange rate was great! People just went there for dinner. Family had homes on both sides of the border.
