the AI story won't end with either a super intelligence enslaving humanity or some "life of abundance"-utopia. it'll end the way these things always end. the bubble will burst. the economy will tank. the tech moguls will golden-parachute onto their super yachts. normies will pick up the pieces.

The First-Party Data Future: Responsible Data Collection Strategies for News Organizations — News Product Alliance

New blog post! Bridging vs cross-posting. They’re similar, but bridged conversations tend to be more unified across networks, while cross-posting ends up more fragmented.

One thing all these hype cycles have in commong: at some point u get spammed with always the same cheap pitches.. in crypto it was about earning money, in AI its about selling and becoming increadibly efficient.. the one thing in commong: you know that 99% of the stuff is just scam..

There is a new Tea data breach and it includes private messages, because of course it does.

I also nearly dislocated an eyeball with my side-eye when I read that Tea requires users to upload a selfie to "prove they are a woman."

A Second Tea Breach Reveals Users’ DMs About Abortions and Cheating
The more than one million messages obtained by 404 Media are as recent as last week, discuss incredibly sensitive topics, and make it trivial to unmask some anonymous Tea users.

This is literally User Experience Design 101
- Find a problem
- Figure out what the solution is going to be
- Find the technology that can make the solution work

Google Glass, Vision Pro, Io, Horizon Worlds all did it backwards
- Find a technology
- Build a solution
- Look for problems it can solve
