“All eyes on Greenland”

The #Greenland Science Conference is about to start. Looking forward to many interesting presentations and to giving one myself about using #sedaDNA 🧬 to reconstruct past #marine ecosystems. 🌊🐳🦠🦀🐚
We‘ll look to the past for a better future!

We proudly present the brand new GEUS sedimentary ancient DNA lab! We just finished setting up the lab after days of scrubbing, sweat, and teamwork! Huge shoutout to Clara S. Adsersen for bravely diving in and making it all happen — couldn’t have done it without you! 🧬💪✨ #LabLife #aDNA

Today, our postdoc Jérémy Courtin presented the first results of our #DFF project FunCap at the #sedaDNA Society Meeting. Great lightning talk on how hybridization capture can be used to uncover how Arctic marine biodiversity responded to past climate changes. 🦠🐙🧪🔬🧬

I am thrilled to share that I was awarded a #Villum Young Investigator grant. Using marine #sedaDNA, we will investigate how Arctic marine ecosystems and their functioning have responded to climatic changes over the past ~1 million years

Our preliminary report for IODP Expedition 400 to Northwest Greenland is finally out. ⛴🌊
Part of the expedition was a sedimentary ancient DNA 🧬 program to answer how the Greenlandic #marine #ecosystems have responded to #climate warming in the past
