Available in Channel 4 streaming from tomorrow. Set in 1993 East Germany. I have no idea if this will be any good but always worth a try.

Season 3 is now available on Channel 4 iPlayer. What a start to Season 3. Wow! One of the best crime drama's to come out of Finnland.

For all of you who speak German, this is fairly accurate on how the news should be reported. They have all gone fucking nuts. #C4News

Been spying on the feline neighbours again.

I made a berry crumble, with paced short cuts of course, for the first time and possibly the last time using a specific frozen berry mix. Thanks for reminding me that I hate red and blackcurrants. No amount of sugar can make them sweet. I'm on a low sugar diet!!! Anyway I've soldiered on and ate it.

I had to change my diet since in old age white flour doesn't like me anymore. So here are some brownies made with banana, egg, cocoa powder and raspberries. They don't rise obviously and aren't very sweet but they taste good and every ingredient is healthy.

My friend has been back. It's really difficult to take a picture of the fox. I have to lean out of the window, hoping it won't come crashing down on me. Even with the biggest zoom on my ancient camera it feels like the fox is to far away. Still it really seems to love this spot.

I painted this one earlier this week. It was inspired by a drawing I had seen over on X. Thankfully it only took 15 minutes since my fingers were just starting to hurt again. I do love the salt / backrun effect that makes his skin look really old.

A final picture of the fox in the back garden before it walked away and I hit me face on the windowsill.
August 20, 2025 at 12:44 PM
Phew, the fox appears to be okay it has now stretched out its legs.
August 20, 2025 at 12:31 PM
Had to zoom in just to make sure but yes there is a fox sleeping in the garden next to my building. I hope the fox is okay, it hasn't moved at all.

Can we just stop the Tour de France now? I don't want to watch another week and a bit of Jonas suffering. At least my favourite birds rocked up today. (Griffon Vultures)

As you can see His Lordship is an expert in time trials. He thought he will give the youngsters a chance today. We remain convinced that Visma took his design! Vive la France. Go Jonas, Go Remco!

Ned reading Victor Hugo during a live broadcast is not something I saw coming.

I bet Cav is loving Le Tour as a tourist.
July 6, 2025 at 11:54 AM
On stage 1 of Le Tour we saw several memorials to WWI, but this pic in particular just shows you the scale of death. 43k are burried here. Given the area we are in for the first 3 days I'm sure we will see many more reminders of human suffering.

One final time we will join our favourite rider. Loulou! Vive la France. If you still don't know that free to view Tour de France coverage will vanish behind a pay wall from next year, where have you been?

Baked some date crumble slices. Never made them before. They better be nice. Who needs Nigella than you got moi?

After a Steven Cronin tutorial. Painting with Fibromyalgia in my fingers, wrists and arms has become a rare event. I managed to produce this today. Autumnal mountain landscape with reflection.
