Same. If RM could wait a bit longer until Slot's future is clear that would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go Szoboszlai, but agree he's great and should be starting (especially at the moment).
December 9, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Fair enough. Looks like we don't intend to play him there though and assumed that was part of the chat with Slot that made him want to play at LFC.
December 9, 2025 at 8:30 PM
I suppose if Wirtz fulfils his potential and Isak comes into form it probably turns out to be the right thing, time will tell. Sad how it's playing out though. Feels like when the Bulls moved on when the players thought they had another title in them, at least our rebuild will be better than that!
December 9, 2025 at 10:45 AM
Wirtz can only play 10 I think, so this only works with Salah as one of 2 CFs?? Is that the answer? Or is the answer that LFC have decided to move on tactically to a place Salah doesn't fit? Bit of a gamble...
December 9, 2025 at 10:36 AM
Potentially they've made the decision to move on tactically, we're not winning the league so move on from a team built around Mo to Wirtz/Isak/Ekitike. Bizarre because last season he was immense and I'm sure he has a lot left.
December 9, 2025 at 3:49 AM
I reckon banning him for a game makes sense - you can't speak like that. But don't you also say 'of course I want Mo to be in the team, he scored 29 goals last year, he's a weapon and one of the greatest LFC players ever.' Unless you don't want Mo in the team.... it's all strange and I don't like it

I'd happily put large amounts of money on neither of them being a Liverpool manager.
November 28, 2025 at 1:37 AM
Who? I think Slot probably has more credit in the bank from FSG for winning the league than it seems from fans, I can't see them sacking him any time soon if they believe they made the right decision before. Maybe with the exception of if a to-good-to-pass option was available.

I just can't understand how it's changed so much from last year, RB injuries haven't helped obviously... I know we've lost pressing from the front, but that can't explain this level of drop off....?
November 26, 2025 at 9:43 PM
i.e. limiting to 30% now clearly doesn't help. But if they had a long term view of holding to (say) 50% in 25 years time it would force us to think LT and invest where needed now. 🤷‍♀️
November 25, 2025 at 11:17 PM
I agree re: 30% debt limit. But aren't treasury forecasts of it reaching 100%, 150%, 200% important context? My assumption is that targeted borrowing now actually reduces those forecasts. So, are they right to limit debt:GDP but they're wrong of doing it in the ST instead of in the LT?
November 25, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Seems fairly self evident doesn't it. Kerkez can come along at his own pace/less pressure (it took Robinson/Fab/Grav time to break into the team), Ekitike is a no-brainer and Isak needs fitness - he'll come good. Dom/Grav/Mac all too important not to start.
November 4, 2025 at 10:22 PM
He's an absolute gem of a player, great to see him look at it physically again.
November 4, 2025 at 10:13 PM
But it was SO LONG ago that Slot won the Premier League, and he hasn't won anything else since! A bit like Mo, yes it was laughable that he was outside the top 2 in Ballon D'or voting, but that was WEEKS ago, he's clearly past it now evidenced by not squaring it in our 5-1 win.

Chris Bishop comes across fairly pragmatic, solution focused and evidence based. I've never voted National, but I like him. Then I found out his Dad started the TPU and he worked for Phillips Morris. He's not his dad, and he says he regrets that job. Not sure what to make of him, what do you think?
October 15, 2025 at 8:44 PM
💔it's still a tough one to think about, so so close.
October 10, 2025 at 2:48 AM
I think CGT needs reframing. We already have it! National introduced it in 2015, Labour etc. can't get panned for introducing something that was already brought in my Key. Start referring to it as CGT, which is is, and then you're only 'reforming it'.

I'm so confused by the original tweet. That's not Kier Starmer's world, that just the world......???
October 1, 2025 at 9:45 AM
I’d have thought that would be a reason to start robbo more - some consistency/familiarity and then bring Kerkez along more slowly. No reflection on Kerkez, just the most obvious (only?) place to do it.
