Went to the our local #Norwich #Indiebookfair today, and met up with fellow local author Amy Orrell, who was thete with her debut #sci-fi book, Tomorrow Was Beautiful Once. Of course I bought a copy. Hope to be a trader here next year!

Awesome book. The Assembly of the Severed Head is an imagining of how the old #Welsh (Celtic) stories came to be written down by 13th C monks. The stories of the #mabinogion are retold in the story, through the last surviving bard. Great #storytelling. Recommend 😊

YEAH!
At a time when the arts are under massive pressure, my city opens its annual performing arts fest, starting with a free outdoor rock concert. Open to all, no auditions, just come & play or sing. And it didn't disappoint... & the crowd was insane, & supportive.
Rock on!

We need more positivity. In these heavy heavy times, there seems to be positive spaces missing. Where are our tv programmes that offer positivity (not vacuous insanity)? Where are the spaces of communities supporting each other? Where's our GOOD NEWS stories? Let's counteract the dark with seeing SUPPORT &LOVE. Show me where it's all at!

Between everything else, I've found time to disappear down a #comparativemythology research rabbit hole! Fascinated by this subject. Myths are stories of our ancestors, reaching back through #history.
Bought these rather old but hopefully fascinating books to dig into.
Maybe a new #wip coming! 😂
