The style industry is the antidote to Big Fashion
Culminating today in a CTA to imitate “The Free Press” (which translates to another platform allowing billionaires like Peter Thiel to spread mis/disinformation at their leisure). MAGA has been and will continue to be the mainstream media, nothing new here except another illusion of choice.

Then I noticed Substack consistently recommending HiH across marketing and social channels. The below screenshotted email linked to a post titled “Women Across America Fell in Love with JD Vance”. Not a sentiment I related to, but the recs have become increasingly MAGA coded (to be expected)

What do I mean by manufactured platforming? Think of it as the next phase of manufactured consent. For example, this is a video from when I first visited Jessica’s Substack and oddly enough, I was already subscribed. (No, I did not accidentally subscribe nor did I subscribe to any recs in bulk).

I wrote a piece on Substack a while back on the manufactured and strategic platforming of Jessica Reed Kraus/House Inhabit and my theory was recently confirmed via HiH’s stories that Substack promised she wouldn’t be censored when she came on board. A thread… (is that we call it here?)

Curating the feeling of “home” is my hidden (from the internet) talent 🍸 Brett and I are gearing up for our 4th renovation together (this is our hobby 😉) and I’m thinking about sharing more here given the entire point is to restore vs. gut. Anywho, this is inspo for the primary bath - thoughts?

Leveraging my past lives to make sense of the current one. Critical thinking and evangelical moral panic are like oil and water, but maybe if we speak their language?

How do we feel about a ‘salon’ vibe for this space? Maybe the first topic is how do we leverage the inevitable inflation in price of mass consumer goods to shift spend to independent designers and makers? There are only 30 of us here right now & Blusky is our oyster 🦪

Thinking about how exciting slow fashion, as a mindset, really is. Like, do you know that your signature style can emerge from loosely defining your lifestyle, values, aesthetic and budget. You don’t have to just copy and paste influencer looks. This is fun, not at all exhausting and saves money.
