Nearly two years ago I lost this paddle. Today, I got it back after it turned up at the same beach where I lost it a few days. Looks a tad worse for wear but seems functional. Thanks to the skull stickers a friend gave me, it was identifiable as mine. Wondering what kinds of adventures it has had.

The Hut of Baba Yaga from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition is one of my favorites. So finding these two pieces of art this year is extra special.

@tmrmakes.bsky.social: Absolutely wild weather today…but the sun came out and I was lucky to find this pristine Baba. Love your prints so much.

There’s so much going on…but I gotta take the time to honor my evergreen rage against the time change. It can piss right off. Credit to the BioClock studio at U.C. San Diego for this cool infographic on the impacts of daylight savings time. bioclock.ucsd.edu/portfolio-it...

Welp, dermatological issues now require that the big doggo wear a raincoat…and it’s big enough to fit me, but he looks dapper AF.

Time to do some slow processing. I am coming back to “The Sum of Us” by Heather McGhee. The fallacy of the zero sum game is all around us.
