Even if we had no moral issues regarding the widescale atrocities we are complicit in it, you’d think people here should care about our tax dollars being wasted when we have many needs and within our own country. Didn’t some politician campaign on taking care of America first? SMH

I listened to a reading of MLKJ’s Letter from Birmingham Jail this week, and it was shocking and depressing how relevant it is and how little has changed in 60+ years. He called “white moderates” out 60 years ago & we still are trying to be civil & reason with people when action is long overdue.

When I moved to WA, I was scrambling to get my car registered because it had expiring temp CA tags, and I went to the DMV thinking I wouldn’t be seen that day. 😬 Wild bedhead.

Yup. Genealogy hobby (less for boasting about lineage and more for the view into people’s lives). So many kids died. And so many women died because of childbirth. And shit like, an entire family, save one person, over the course of a few months. Sanitation, antibiotics and vaccines save billions.
