A few tweaks:

🔭 change in the perspective
🎨 color overlays
🗡️ simpler power indicators

went a long way after introducing 3D. Now it feels like ruling a kingdom again.

Tried the 3D build in a playtest for the first time. Visual upgrade? Huge.
Game feel? Not so much.
Time to fix the feel without losing the look...

All the game dev gurus say: use asset packs. I tried it, but it did not felt right for me.

So I keep going with making my own assets.
Maybe not as pretty, but I have so much fun creating them.

I'll replace the 2D with 3D in the near future. So there was no better way to waste time then make the 2D tiles less ugly. 😅🤣😭

The first multiplayer test went well…
At least for my brother, who completely destroyed me in my own game 😱😭😂

Still, it was so much fun — and for the first time I feel like I’ve really found the spot where I want to make a game out of this prototype!

I just draw it... :P So it correlates with the time spent on the project. I also note down feelings, achievements and such stuff.
So far it helps me alot to understand what to do change in the next project, and see if it actually changed something to the better. It looks like this:
