Artist of geeky stuff and Senior Designer for the Division of Marketing and Communications at Texas State University. Yes I made the Die Hard Tree Topper. NO, I don't plan on making more.
Here’s my contribution for Outpost 512’s The Summer of King: a Stephen King tribute show opening this Friday, July 25th at their gallery in Taylor, TX!
Based on Salem’s Lot, “Floating and Tapping” — 14” x 17” light-up sculpture in a custom made shadow box, will be available at the opening.

Happy 50th anniversary to JAWS!
About 12 years ago I created my first pop culture sculpture for the Hero Complex Gallery Jaws show and creating Quint as if he was a stop-motion character was a no-brainer.

Happy 40th Anniversary to The Goonies! God just typing that makes me feel old. This is a Goonies inspired tree topper that I made a few years ago. Had a lot of fun recreating One-Eyed Willie’s skull, the key, octopus tentacles and Mikey’s marbles.

HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY to MONTY PYTHON and the HOLY GRAIL! Had to pay tribute to one of my favorite comedies that I saw for the first time when I was in high school. I wanted to also pay homage to old medieval paintings but give it a fun twist influenced by the animated bits in the movie.

Happy Superman Day!
This was a Christmas tree topper sculpture that I made for a solo show a couple of years ago depicting one of the most iconic scenes from Superman The Movie. Superman was the first superhero I latched onto at a very early age thanks to Christopher Reeve’s movies.

Happy birthday to Mister Rogers! Thank you for being our neighbor and inviting us into your wonderful Land of Make Believe. A couple of years ago I made a Daniel and his clock tower as a tree topper. Gave me another level of respect for whoever made the models that Mister Rogers had.

My new piece, “Expanded Consciousness and Bliss,” will be my contribution to Together in Dreams: David Lynch tribute show at Outpost 512 gallery in Taylor, TX on March 7!
It was so much fun sculpting David Lynch’s hair.
I’m thrilled to be a part of this new show with many incredible artists!

An absolute legend.

Star Trek Voyager premiered 30 years ago today!
I drew this portrait of Voyager several years ago for inktober. I believe the prompt for it was “lost.” #art

Happy 50th anniversary to Mel Brooks’ classic Young Frankenstein! It’s long been my favorite comedy, mostly for its clever take on classic Universal Monster movies. I made this music box sculpture a few years ago for a show at Gallery1988.

Happy 32nd anniversary to the definitive version of Charles Dickens’ classic, “The Muppet Christmas Carol!”
This piece is from my first show back in 2019. How can you not love the Ghost of Christmas Present? He just makes the perfect tree topper!

RIP Tony Todd. Not only a horror legend having played Candyman, but a Star Trek legend as well playing multiple roles.
This was the Candyman inspired tree topper that I made for my recent solo show at Gallery1988 .

Happy birthday Jack Kirby!

Today would’ve been Paul Ruebens’ 71st birthday. 🎂
This is still one of my favorite sculptures that I’ve done. Pee-wee was such a big part of my childhood and Big Adventure was on constant rotation in the house.

The “animatronic” Dilophosaurus he came with is superb but the fact that he’s to scale to the Indy figures from 2008 takes it up a notch.
