I like making things, often involving software
There already seems to be some kind of legal apathy regarding who is ultimately responsible for an action/decision made by these large models, sadly.
I can definitely see them wanting to get that locked down via legislature, so that they can sell infinite products without responsibility.

Excited to see what new things you'll make, a change of context and creative reset can do so much good!

Lovely combination of style and worldbuilding in your works!

The good things that are made, from machines for early illness detection or bacterial analysis to per-user calibrated accessibility tools, get drowned out by the current hype cycles infinite amount of shitty use cases and complete lack of self awareness.

At this point I think the term "AI" has been irrevocably damaged by all the bad use cases, to the point where I don't even say that I work in the field if someone asks.

Most of the damage in my perspective comes from generative AI, but even older machine learning aspects can be used in bad ways.

That's rough, I hope moving on can feel good at least.
For what it's worth, the world and art has been gorgeous, and I think putting together a book is definitely a nice way to say goodbye.

Really lovely result, great job!
Are the internal "lines" on objects like the small rocks or the plans in the textures, or are you managing to get them via the edge detection?

I've been working for quite a while on methods for consistent lines that aren't outlines, but it's not very performant.

Quality rarely survives uploads on these platforms sadly.
For what it's worth, the cool look of the shader comes across ok anyway!
