The difference between a millionaire and a billionaire is about a billion dollars. The difference between a trillionaire and a billionaire is about a trillion dollars. This is truly unfathomable wealth.

Thing is most people who drink to such excess do most of their drinking at home, where it’s much cheaper.

Drinking in a pub, where there’s a legal responsibility for them to not serve people who are too drunk, and people spend their time talking (and so drink less and slower), is the better option.

The google ai overview is not particularly reliable, and has been known to just make things up.

Which is why, if I had the right to vote in American elections, I would have voted democrat. I think the whole system needs tearing down and rebuilding from scratch, but that’s not going to happen overnight, and in the meantime, I’d rather not have to live under a fascist dictator…

(materially, if not in principle) supports genocide. I saw voting democrat as harm reduction at best, but even that was a hard sell for some people.

I never said that they were close, I said they were getting closer. There’s a difference. Again, I think voting democrat was the smart choice; there is absolutely nothing bad they would have done that trump hasn’t already done. That said, I can sympathise with not wanting to vote for someone who

How long can you spend voting for a party that travels farther and farther right in order to chase bipartisanship before you’re basically voting for fascists anyway? Obviously the democrats are not fascist, and voting democrat in the last election was the smart tactical decision, but…

Grandia is a pretty good option; it’s relatively easy as such games go, but has some interesting mechanics and a good story. Fair warning though: the voice acting is almost comically bad.

Yup. To the best of my knowledge, the only group that never broke a treaty with the native Americans was the Quakers. Every other treaty, including the ludicrously one sided ones, were eventually broken.

The USA already has a standing policy that *any* American citizen being tried in The Hague is grounds for immediate invasion. They have pretty much since the icj and icc were established. Trump is never going to The Hague, much as he should.

But violence against fascists is wrong; we should compromise with people whose ideology is violent in both ends and means, and therefore inflict a little bit of violence on vulnerable people, instead. Otherwise, having violent means makes us as bad as those with violent ends /s

I’d be tempted to move to Denmark over living in the uk at the minute; I’d even be willing to learn to talk with a mouthful of potatoes to do it ;)

And therefore, if a person is able to get themselves elected to a position of power, they should by no means be allowed to do the job.

To be fair, it’s fairly easy to play multiple rpgs; I’ve been doing it for a couple of decades. It’s somewhat harder to play multiple mmos. People who are getting what they want from wow are unlikely to switch, whereas dnd players can potentially be talked into trying something new for a one shot.

No. Thankfully, I live in a part of the uk where neither the tories nor labour had a chance at getting the seat, so voting third party wasn’t roughly equivalent to just staying home.

I’m not American, but if the 2a crowd were looking for an opportunity to resist a tyrannical government, now would be the time…

I’m not going to give him the benefit of the doubt; I think he’s guilty as sin. But if this image turns out to be fake, a lot of his supporters will be using it to create doubt about the real shit, so I would personally want to know for sure rather than trusting it because it confirms my beliefs.

There was an ongoing investigation back then. The investigation wasn’t dropped until trump had already taken office.
