Some fighting games I'm a lil DECENT in, buh that's only because I'm actually trying to find a main and learn stuff about them so that I have some information and tech processed in my head lmao.

what worked for me was just doing simple delayed actions after plus frames or in neutral, and try to practice dash block and dash sidestep to bait buttons.

from my experience and ofc the other players ive seen, you can have the same character knowledge, whiff punish reactions, and frame traps etc. as any of the pros, really from that point on it's about developing sense of timing and conditioning / spacing that separates blue ranks from real pro player

It becomes easy to dominate an opponent once you can figure out how to counter and or limit their options. Force them to make unsafe plays.

The biggest help for me was definitely playing reactive and taking mental notes of the players habits( what do they do starting of the round?, do they sidestep after x move, do they finish the string, etc).
