The fit and makeup for an Absinthe Soiree at Raven's Manor last week! I know 1920s are pushing it for being era appropriate for absinthe but the colors were just so perfect. I tried to lean a little Moulin Rouge-esque with the makeup to compensate ^_^

Shay and I went BUCKWILD on tonight's dinner (as evidenced by us only sitting down to eat at 10 pm lol)

I grew up in a small, rural and conservative town so I recognize that this is not a possibility for everyone. And sometimes life gets so busy, even if you do live near events. But if you're fortunate enough to have the opportunity, you gotta make in person comminity a priority
This is true beyond art as well. Focus on your in person community, and show up for events and gatherings when you can! These events cease to exist when people don't show up for them
My advice for emerging artists and pros alike: it’s time for in person events.
The industry and community is scattered and algorithms are currently siloing us off.
Go to cons, festivals, screenings + launches, and other art events.
While social media is still shifting, invest in face to face.
The industry and community is scattered and algorithms are currently siloing us off.

I still wouldn't call myself a morning person, but dang if my early morning commutes haven't been gorgeous (these were all taken while on the bus or waiting for it, never while driving)
