Troll bots all lining up on fb to say it’s not real bc the trees aren’t orange in October. Here’s my Boston backyard right now, 10/19 at 62 degrees:

Then you might enjoy my Souvenir d’ Elise Vardon with Cosmo volunteers. Scent unavailable for transmission.

I call my garden Mary Green’s Resistance Roses, because of alliteration but fuck it. It’s now Mary Green’s Antifa Roses. Grown with all the goodness that fighting fascism entails.

And a dahlia, I started the big ones too late so it’s a race to bloom before frost! But this sweet, happy face brings a smile to my face.

And the roses too here at Mary Green’s Resistance Roses.

Looks like ‘Peace’. A historic rose that was saved from WW2. It smells amazing. Here is mine:

Had to share here.

Weird, my Zephirine doesn’t look like this. It’s pinker with no peach, has fewer petals and a looser form.

Thank you too!!
Here’s a few shots from my splurge purchase of a dozen Juliet’s last year. She’s lovely but I was honestly expecting more fragrance and wow factor for all the hype. I guess I’ve gotten more particular as my rose journey evolves!

Hard to pick a favorite color but it’s definitely up there for me as well.
I managed to get my paws on a band size Tantau Tropicana, can’t wait for that orange.
In the meantime, here’s Just Joey:

May I encourage you to try these, they are tragically a limited edition.

Me please! Wanna be Kiwi, stuck in the US. Photo of Queen of the Night rose and lace cap hydrangea for tax.

I have this one, it’s sold as Euphoria over here. It’s stunning but little to no fragrance which always disappoints me, but makes up for it in lasting longer!

And farming will be my future once my youngest has graduated, we are tethered here in the city until then. Hasn’t stopped me from digging in the dirt though! My tiny plot of sanity❤️

It’s a lovely rose, unfortunately one of the least prolific of all my ‘florist’ roses. I still love her despite that (and her barely noticeable scent) because was my gateway rose!

Queen of the Night Rose from Palantine, rose campion with bronze fennel behind and the first ranuculus blooms of the season. #magentamonday #bloomscrolling

It was named in honor of him. The Meilland family has been breeding roses since the 1850’s. Francis bred the world famous rose ‘Peace’ which was rescued during WW2.

I will definitely share when she gets going!

In the meantime, here’s the maiden flush of Mme. Jean that I ordered from Palantine. It’s a climber but she’s too busy being gorgeous at the moment to climb😊

She was almost impossible to get last year! I managed to get an own root band from k and m and grab a grafted one from DA. Gotta have quick clicking skills these days!

Jubilee Celebration just bloomed from that order and it’s now my absolute favorite. (Until Evelyn blooms😂)
