Increasingly unhinged, Not nice, Kicked off of twitter for bulling TERFs (3X), discourse hater, rabidly anti-Israel, wrongly accused sexist, If you’re reading this, I have spoken exactly one lie in this description, I’ll let you figure it out.
Conquest was right, being a victim of your own success sucks.

The republic commando Novels by Karen Traviss are awesome. I grew up with them and cannot recommend them enough.

It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

I hope the zionist blood money is worth it. Mountains of children are dead and you defend their murderers. You are a participant in the modern holocaust and history will not be kind to you.

One of the courses I took had us read through a book called “Being Mortal” By Atul Guwande. It’s more about the clash between cultural interpretations of illness and ethics, but it also explores active listening and empathy and how they both help you treat the patient better.

Mine specifically tried to instill empathy and active listening, legality was part of it but it was secondary, the lesson they instilled was “If you treat people like people, they’ll be less likely to sue and be more honest with you during diagnosis and treatment”.

...medical professionals have communications and ethics classes as part of the curriculum so that shit like this isn’t needed...This is just laziness on their part.

LLM’s as far as I’m aware are not related to cancer-detection and prediction software. And I have no information on where and when they are being used. I agree that they should be outright banned, but I’ve yet to actually see them anywhere.
November 13, 2024 at 9:37 PM
The article you posted from the WHO is referring to LLM’s, which are language based AI designed to condense information or present it in a certain way. Think Chat GPT. The image AI being used for cancer detection is more like a spelling/grammar check for images.

It’s not there to replace radiologists or diagnosticians, it’s there to highlight potential irregularities that may need further investigation. It’s supposed to speed along the process, not replace people.

Images of MRI’s alone are not a breach of privacy, if the patient’s personal information is not attached to the images it’s not actually a privacy breach. The goal is to use it to streamline the process, not replace human expertise.

Oh absolutely. I think Generative AI needs to be banned, yesterday.
November 13, 2024 at 5:48 PM
The only good use I’ve seen for AI has been in medical technology, where MRI’s and Imagining when paired with AI has been able to spot cancer and other issues where physicians have missed them.

I will say that I miss custom loadouts for titans, but I do like the abilities and uniqueness of the titans in TF2. I think it was a fair trade, and made the titans feel like characters instead of tools. But I get where you’re coming from.
