I’m watching US corporate media in horror from up here in Canada. Unfortunately independent media is so fragmented it doesn’t seem to have any real impact on most Americans. The racism emanating from Trump is barely registering with millions of Americans - the white ones that is.

And yet millions of Americans believe they live in the best country in the world. Pretty astounding as they obviously don’t know what it’s like to live in a social democracy. The American experiment has gone very, very wrong.

What on earth are Americans thinking? Their reputation is ruined in that they are allowing this vile man,who has been witnessed raping and molesting children, to continue to sit in their White House as President.

Exactly! It would have played ad nauseam on cable tv. Your major news outlets are all owned by rich Republicans. Unfortunately our major news media here in Canada, other than CBC, are all owned by wealthy conglomerates.

Too bad, in Carney's Canada, a Trump-supporting American newspaper chain, Postmedia, monopolizing Canada's print media, will hate this speech and everything it represents. While the world may be impressed, Canadians will be largely ignorant of it thanks to Postmedia, which sides with Trump.

Too bad, in Carney's Canada, a Trump-supporting American newspaper chain, Postmedia, monopolizing Canada's print media, will hate this speech and everything it represents. While the world may be impressed, Canadians will be largely ignorant of it thanks to Postmedia, which sides with Trump.
We avoided a political and national disaster by electing Mark Carney rather than Poilievre. He is definitely the right leader Canada needs for these frightening times.

Biden was visibly slowing down and becoming forgetful, and US corporate media brutally denigrated him. Trump? Media report in euphemisms, obviously terrified of losing access instead of reporting truthfully on Trump’s obvious mental decline. Cowards!

I live in Toronto and we have a phobia about letting dogs in cafes, restaurants or pubs. Summers ok if there’s an outside patio, but even then it depends on the set up. Yet we’re a dog loving city. Unfortunately city ordinances are dog phobic.🙄
