The only reason total amateurs like wild-eyed Kash Patel and Dan Bongino are in their positions is because they were out on their fringe podcasts claiming that somehow they alone knew the “truth” and would unmask the “deep state.”

They’re all frauds who embarrass the country.

I’m sorry—but it is very difficult to maintain a high opinion of anyone who thinks this is fitting conduct for the President of the United States.

He embarrasses the country and makes his supporters look like fools every single day.

This is not a stable person who should be deciding whether and how we strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.

On JD Vance: “I was never more sick than when JD asked Zelenskyy why Ukraine doesn’t just stop fighting. They’re fighting because Putin invaded & started killing their women and children. To even ask that question is just so idiotic.”

Thanks to @adamkinzinger.bsky.social for the discussion.

So many lawyers in the Federalist Society made a deal with the devil against everything they believed and knew to be true—some to secure that government position they always thought they deserved, some to simply stay on the “team.”

And now the devil has eaten them, too.

I’m so embarrassed by our supposed leaders. Each and every day.

I would be more inclined to give the morality police a hearing if they didn’t cheer a president who slept with a pornstar while married and then paid her to keep quiet about it.

Folks like Senator Lee don’t care about moral character. If they did, they would oppose Donald Trump.

The Qataris fund the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas—and Republicans have long excoriated Democrats for getting anywhere close to them. Yet Trump has just taken their large luxury palace jet. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Americans need to ask: how is any of this helping them?

More on tariffs: “This isn’t just about laptops and iPhones. It’s about the basic necessities—and $300 is a lot of money for new families. This administration has said it wants to be ‘pro-family,’ but these tariffs are going to crush them.”
May 12, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Happy first Mother’s Day to our favorite one out there. We love you, Cecilia. You’re crushing it.

On tariffs: “When young families realize—hey, why am I having to pay $400 more for a stroller?—they’re going to get pissed off because the only reason this is happening is because the President and the yes-men he surrounds himself with just don’t understand basic economics.”
May 11, 2025 at 7:59 PM
The Trump Tariffs will hammer young families. Spread the word.

Encouraging evening in Chicago with Principles Firsters from around Illinois discussing the chaos of the Trump Tariffs and how they will cut deeply into the bottom line for working Americans.

It doesn’t have to stay this way…
May 1, 2025 at 10:57 PM
Trump’s Tariffs are growing the government and shrinking the economy. A bad formula that will wreck the working class.

The same people who complained about Hunter Biden’s paintings are now selling $500k memberships for their own account into a “club” named the Executive Branch that openly sells access to and influence over our government’s leaders.

If this isn’t illegal, it should be.
April 29, 2025 at 1:02 AM
Wow. You really gotta try to be this bad.
April 14, 2025 at 11:52 PM
In a single post, Trump blames the war in Ukraine on Biden and Zelenskyy instead of Putin and says the 2020 election was rigged.

I don’t understand how serious people can still support this guy with a straight face.
April 14, 2025 at 3:45 PM
The self-inflicted harm to our economic well-being this week comes on the heels of a self-inflicted wound to our moral standing in the world vis-a-vis Trump and Vance taking Putin’s side in Ukraine.

They are abandoning every moral value that I thought my country believed in.

Greg Mankiw, famed conservative macroeconomist and author of my college macro textbook, did indeed call it.

“Welcome to the kakistocracy.”
April 3, 2025 at 10:57 PM
This is how dumb they think you are. Unreal.
March 26, 2025 at 3:19 PM
This is open grift and corruption from the President of the United States. And if you can’t admit that it’s a problem, you’re in the grip of a cult.

Every time he does this, he degrades our entire country. It’s also sad. Many Americans who trust him will lose their savings.

We volunteer, we knock doors, we individually contribute to candidates. We do more than any PAC really that just contributes money.

Back when we stood up to authoritarian propaganda instead of fold to it.
March 17, 2025 at 2:51 AM
This is the damning chart. Sheesh.

This article appeared in The Economist in October 2024: “The envy of the world: America’s economy is bigger and better than ever”

Trump didn’t inherit a mess. He’s creating one.
