Maybe I am naively holding onto some hope that things may change there given the protests and some push back. I am trying not to fall into existential despair about how it increasingly obvious it is going!

I think to liken the US to Nazi Germany at this point maybe a bit far, but wouldn’t disagree with you that the administration is clearly showing the signs of full blown fascism. I wish our Gov. would call them out for it, but I guess while they provide our deterrent against Putin it is tricky.

While this maybe hyperbole, and for now alarmist, there is genuine concern about the direction things are going in the USA, especially amongst those of us who gave Labour our vote in the hope that the party would see that closer ties with Europe makes more economic, and with Putin, security sense.

It can be corrected- it would be a note at the bottom of the certificate- the parents obviously did not check before they signed, so not the registration service’s fault. Maybe registration needs to change but it would require an act of parliament.
