I appreciate all the news being shared, but I have to say, this graphic background is so distracting. The videos make it very hard to focus on what they are saying because my ADHD can’t get past the moving white static… just an fyi for future video posts.

I appreciate her being honest and empathetic, something that is lacking in both parties. Now I hope she follows through with her promise. My hope is that many of us on the “left” will open our tent up to ANYONE willing to uphold the checks and balances of power, even if they are Republican.

I have lost everything. And will be paying off medical bills for a long time. Yes, you said men, but I am outraged for them. Check your privilege before you talk about people that way. And no, I’m not mad because of political party, I’m mad because you’re acting like an ignorant jerk.

Scott Jennings, I ask that you have some decency when talking about the American people. These broad-sweeping statements are not accurate. Will there always be people who take advantage of a system? Yes. But are most Americans that are currently unemployed grifters or lazy? Not even close.

I know many who are not able to work because of chronic illness. Many have been laid off by our own government. Many have been fired by a company that wants to increase or maintain profit margins rather than maintain their workforce and benefits. I am one example of this.

Not to mention many of us are paycheck to paycheck or in medical debt or have student loans or are paying astronomical rent etc etc. To call your own citizens stupid because they are worried about losing everything is just cruel and tasteless. Why aren’t more people mad at that fact alone?

If I can’t make those mistakes without repercussion, neither should our elected officials, regardless of political party.

This month has felt like we are stuck in some alternate timeline. This presidency is veering us so far off course, I fear we might not find our way back. Not until we, as voters, can recognize the difference between fact and fiction.

Watching @joyannreid.bsky.social , @andersoncooper2.bsky.social and @maddow.msnbc.com throughout the week. I am seeing clips of other reps meeting with their constituents. How do we get our rep to hear us if he won’t even meet with his own community? How else can we hold them accountable?
