Green councillor for Lockleaze and deputy leader of Bristol City Council, the first Green led core city. Striving to be the change I wish to see in world.

Promoted by Ed Fraser, on behalf of Bristol Green Party, both at 17 Great George Street BS1
A couple of weeks ago I had a conference in Vilnius, and thanks to the help of your website took a similar route. Overnight from Brussels to Berlin which was very pleasant.

With the new liveable neighbourhood making other routes safer and more pleasant I'm going to change my route to go via Victoria Avenue, where it's more overlooked and therefore feels safer. www.bristol247.com/news-and-fea...

Definitely on the cards! Underground sections makes it a lot more expensive, but I'll need to see the full feasibility study to see if it's necessary.

Hi Joe - I'm hoping you get a direct response soon. I've had this from First Bus
"Thank you for your email. Clearly the situation described would be wholly unacceptable. We take these issues very seriously and I will ask one of the team to fully investigate."

He says we need vision, courage and determination to deliver this. I agree!

Cllr Ed Plowden would like solutions that reduce the need for people to own their own cars. We need to remember the transport hierarchy, pedestrians first.
In '91 we had 90k cars on the roads in Bristol. We now have 300k.

@saskiaheijltjes.bsky.social from Cycle Sprog talking about how kids get heavier and more difficult to transport on a bike so we need solutions for bigger kids to feel comfortable on their own bikes.

Chris from the Transport Action Network says we can't deliver traffic reduction by being nice to everyone.
Can't let drivers have universal access and improve buses.

Bristol Nature Network tells us how important it is to make our public transport accessible to all. Not just 9-5 commuters, we need 2 spaces for wheelchairs on buses.
