Very mellow and man this has one of the best versions of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow in my collection thus far. Very gentle and vulnerable.
Glad I picked this up because it’s also one of the earlier versions of Killing Me Softly I’ve heard!

So the kid is the directors son and he went on to work social effects for movies like The Dark Knight and The Suicide Squad. Fucking wild!

Good night, Richard. I hope the TARDIS takes you on so many incredible adventures across space and time. Say hi to Laurel and Hardy for us.

I FOUND HER! This was another one of those albums I had on with regular rotation at the coffee merchant and needed for my collection. I especially loved “Love Is A Losing Game”. Though the Me and Mr. Jones’ “WHAT KIND OF FUCKERY IS THIS” gets me every time.

Sometimes it’s worth having some quiet before the chaos… I’m also going to admit, I’m nervous for reasons I don’t really want to think about.

I originally thought this was Redding and Hendrix performing together at that festival. I was wrong. But damn, Hendrix singing Like A Rolling Stone was awesome. He seemed to really dig folk.

Recorded at Folsom Prison on January 13, 1968, it was one of many concerts Cash would do for inmates. One of the songs performed— Greystone Chapel—was actually written by an inmate named Glen Sherley who was in the crowd. He didn’t know Cash would perform it.

One of the parents of punk in the UK. I got this one because when I was at uni, one of my professors, used to show the music video for God Save The Queen it in his classes on development, government and political economy. Gee I wonder why…

Some surprising and fun finds on this album— I already liked Pancho and Lefty but I was very happy to see Nelson had also collaborated with Santana and Julio Iglesias. And Ray Charles?! Holy shit, Willie was a busy man!

Another must for my growing record collection— has A Case of You on it and it’s probably my favorite Joni Mitchell song.
There’s going to be a lot of folk and Americana here, folks, I’m sorry.
