Any ideas on what to do with very old bottles of beer, apart from the bleeding obvious? Auction house said they weren't worth trying to sell.

I nearly broke my ankle just looking at these.
Size 7, British Heart Foundation, on Lothian Road if any of you are braver.

"In the 12 months to March 2024, 87 prisoners were released in error."
In fact several hundred were released during the Tories time in power from 2010- 2024. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but I don't recall hearing much about each individual involved.

If you can ignore all the Christmas setting-up, PSG is a sight to behold at this time of year! #edinburgh

I asked my class of ESOL learners about digital ID cards. We had a vote on whether it was a good thing or a bad thing. It was unanimously positive. Most were shocked that there's no obligation to have a passport or any other form of photo ID here.

Found this at dad's - an old Sunfresh Orange Drink booklet about their sales promotion from the 50s. Great photos of old production lines. Guessing it's American.
Are there any local archives that take this kind of document?

Too early for mincemeat pies, but not soon enough for Edinburgh's Christmas.

Got a text from my GP yesterday about the impact of weight loss injections on HRT and contraception and recommending a check up. Curious whether anyone else's GP has sent anything similar.

From the Polwarth Medical Practice website. The decision was made by NHS Lothian management. I imagine they might have the facts.

I'm clearing out my late dad's house and came across my grandma's ID card from 1943.
Curious as to why £1000 is written across the front.
Did she try to bribe an official at some point? 🤔

There was all that fanfare around the scrapping of peak fares on ScotRail trains in Scotland, but they still exist if you want to use a Railcard.

Here's an FOI on spending on the Digital Identity Service revealing the £45m cost of something the FM says "is an attack on our liberty and privacy".
Go figure.

Apart from the name, it sounds very similar to the Labour plan.
Wonder how those who have been working on the project here feel.

I'm looking for the new Holyrood boundary maps, specifically Edinburgh Central's. I've found a version, but not sure if it's the final one and AI is talking mince.

Found a load of non-barcoded special and Christmas stamps. The Royal Mail website appears to say they're still good to go. Has anyone tried them recently?

Gorgeous! I was looking again this morning and I'm in love with this fireplace and the staircase.

Terrible photo but...
A few days ago I thought it had started raining. Instead, it was some hyperactive tits tapping on the window frame. They've been doing it every day since. It's very sweet, and I'd let them in in a heartbeat!
