Hey Bluesky! I thought I would introduce myself on this new platform. I am a conceptual and photo-based artist based in NC. My work explores ideas of memory, loss, family and mid-life womanhood. Below are some of my favorite images from my last four bodies of work. Happy to connect!

Run, 2025
A vivid memory I have of church is the ritual of dressing up for it. This was the one day each week when I had to wear pantyhose. They were delicate; a simple pull could cause them to run. This fragility reminds me of faith and how easily it ebbs and flows throughout our lifetime.

By A Thread
It’s challenging not to be overwhelmed by the news but I believe that art is more important now than ever. My series, Skipping Sundays, explores the complexities of faith. The title By A Thread seems to resonate with many aspects of life right now. It feels like we are just hanging on.

I’m now on @fotoapp.co It kind of reminds me of the old Flickr days with no ads just photos. I don’t think it will replace Instagram anytime soon but giving it a try as a Meta alternative. Let’s connect if you are on there.

Hey guys. I have some new followers thanks to @flakphoto.news featuring my image Curl. This image is part of my Alterations series, about memories of my granny who was a seamstress in a department store during the 70s/80s. It was inspired by my favorite photo of us together.
