No, I extend my Mac desktop with it, which mirrors (and, if you want, greatly expands) your desktop layout. So I'm typing on a real keyboard, but the screen floats at my optimal viewing height and distance. support.apple.com/guide/apple-...

It significantly expands your desktop space -- I've actually gotten rid of my external monitor. I like writing at perfect level, but I don't like having a huge monitor that takes up all the space on my desk. This way, I have a laptop and the Vision for either need.

Also, the Vision algorithm that converts your photos into 3D is an almost harrowing experience that amplifies nostalgia into a hallucinatory flood

I use the thing every other day. I really, really love writing with it, and extending my desktop. The resolution is extraordinary, and if it was lighter weight, I would suggest it to everyone.

i think the gamble is that streamlining the models will happen as the initial wave of early adopters gets hooked. like Uber, the damage will be done and the change will be permanent, even though the rides are expensive and the pay sucks.
