The strategy involved (non-vulnerable/retiring folks taking the hit while everyone else loudly shouts “I disagree! I vote against it! But what more can I dooooo?”) is pretty transparent.

I get sometimes you have to work strategically but this seems like they think we’re all idiots.

While I’d be happy to be proven wrong, my trust in GOP folks to come to the table for even just a *discussion* in good faith is…not high.

Sure, I guess add it to the list of things the GOP should be ashamed of supporting/allowing/
doing/not doing.

I’m sure *this* time they’ll really think about what they did and why it’s bad.

I often wonder how much of his bs is purposeful lies, how much is made up off the top of his head, how much is a half-remembered or misunderstood statistic he was told by someone, and how much is his handlers blatantly feeding him false info (that he believes 100% no matter how ridiculous).

“Violent clashes between” implies violence on both/all sides. Meanwhile, every story I’ve seen involves federal agents arresting, attacking, beating, and tear-gassing witnesses, protesters, even children with little to no provocation.

Describing violent attacks as “clashes” is bad journalism.

As a person who is plenty white from the Midwest, we also do that plenty.
