Protect people!

My pearls aren’t Karen pearls for clutching, but Kamala pearls for smashing white suprematist patriarchal fascism. Boring Cishet white woman in WY who reads. Abolish ICE, prisons & for profit healthcare.

Resistance is fruitful. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🍉✊🏾✝️
We stood.

In front of people who know our names.

150 people is astounding!!

Worland Wyoming.

Might not look so impressive…except this county is larger than Delaware with less than 8,000 people and 80% voted for him 3times.

Weird. Because 150 people showed up in Worland Wyoming for the second ever protest people remember in town (the first was June’sNO KINGS). And I’m pretty certain that’s massive news.

The county is larger than Delaware with less than 8,000 people. I drove 40 miles to get here.

I love seeing the massive crowds in big cities. It feels powerful.

But. So did the protest of 150 I joined in the middle of Wyoming.

I drove 40 miles to a county of7500 people that’s larger than the state of Delaware to join the 150ish people.

That’s also powerful.

Yay Idaho neighbors!!! That’s amazing!!!
October 19, 2025 at 12:37 AM
There were about 150 people at our protest in the middle of Wyoming.

For context- the county is larger than the whole state of Delaware and 4,700 live in the town.

That’s a WHOLE LOTTA PEOPLE who vote red red Republican a whole lotta the time.

Updated my sign, because a lot of my cis het white cohort still doesn’t understand “neighbor”.

Mr Rogers and Jesus didn’t stutter.

I live in Wyoming. This state is larger in land area than the whole UK. Witha total population less than 600,000 people. Tomorrow there are at least 14 scheduled protests. I’m going to one in a county roughly half the size of Northern Ireland with 7,000 people living in it.

My county is larger than the state of Rhode Island and has less than 3,000 people. The neighboring county is larger than Delaware & 7,000 people. My state is 1.5 times larger than the country of Georgia but Georgia has 3 million more people.

Almost 100 people IS that organized!

I highly recommend this book if you would like a history of the NRA, from militias in the colonies to this decade, it’s a tour through language, thinking, changing politics & leads to an excellent explanation to the insurrectionist thinking today. Really informative. Thank you @afilindra.bsky.social

Like Okapi! Aka Zebra giraffe moose. They look marvelously implausible.

YAY BRAVERY!

The first protest anyone I talked to remembers EVER happening in rural red Worland Wyoming.

I love seeing the crowds in big cities, but until they get 83 people to gather in places like ours, some 3x Trump voters, I’m not going to believe we’re in the same boat, just the same storm.

*6/20 NYT Strands spoiler *

NYT Strands doing truth telling when NYT headlines won’t really helps understand how irrepressible truth tellers are vs. how open to suppression white supremacist patriarchal followers can be.

Thanks for proving my points: We don’t celebrate Juneteenth because of the party names on voter registration, but because people worked to justly inform people they were freed from the injustice thrust upon them.

Now read a book about it instead of asking AI if I was right.

Really rural, really red WYOMING! In a county of 7700 and a town of 4400, the first protest anyone I talked to remembered happening- about 100 people showed up!
June 15, 2025 at 4:09 PM
Washakie county Wyoming has 7,700 people in area bigger than the state of Rhode Island.

And we got 100 people to the first protest anyone there remembers happening in town.

In tiny, rural, red WYOMING!
June 15, 2025 at 2:59 AM
This is about 1/3 of the people protesting in Worland Wyoming! This is the first protest people there ever remember happening in town!

In tiny, rural, red WYOMING!

Pretty certain #nokings won if we could get this many Wyomingites out in a county twice as big as Rhode Island with a pop. of 7,000
June 15, 2025 at 2:44 AM
Woohoo! Go neighbors! Thankful for all the western states participating! This is about 1/3 of the group in our tiny town in the middle of Wyoming!
June 15, 2025 at 2:34 AM
Woohoo! Waving at you from Wyoming! Yes neighbors!

I love seeing the big city crowds, but it’s so impressive in red, conservative states! This is the first protest people I asked remember being here!

There were about 100 of us out today. Love seeing my neighbors out too!
June 15, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Really rural middle of Wyoming- first protest people remember having here! 100 showed up! Lots of drive by support! This is about 1/3 of us. This might not look like NYC, Chicago and some of the other huge crowds. But this crowd is gigantic in terms of population density and Ted voting percentage!
June 15, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Same in Worland Wyoming! There were 100 people to protest, so much support from drivers and 4 counter protesters across the street and few drive bys from Trump flags. In the middle of red Wyoming in a red county in a tiny red town.

First protest anyone there remembers happening. And 100 showed up!
June 15, 2025 at 2:00 AM
Percentage wise…we’re winning…

This is like 1/3 of the protesters in Worland WYOMING!

Wyoming! First protest anyone I tapped to remembered happening in town… in a place that votes red or not at all.
