I was a high school teacher for 20 years and during the shooter drills we would make a plan to get out safely, but I always said it would be me to put myself in harms way because I had already lived longer than them and they deserved the chance to live as long as me. It was traumatizing.

Yes! My daughter called me and asked why I was following JD Vance. I was floored. I guess because I was following VP and POTUS they just “rolled over.” I will not be rolling over, however! I had to ditch FLOTUS too.

I wrote my senator saying the same message. Focus on his resume and ask substantive questions about the job. Hammer that into the record. Character will matter again someday, but right now it’s all about being qualified.
