My dad read that book to me every week and I grew up on the animated version. Loved it. Remember watching the live action and being confused. All I remember liking was the elf king being hot

I still think The Hobbit (1977) is the best adaptation.

I read the book (when I was too young) but loved Let the Right One In. Still haven’t seen Let Me In but I have a bad feeling about it.
