Not very long, I only found my writing voice when I applied for the Master's. I submitted a piece I had written years before for the application. My reasoning was, if accepted, that would indicate I had some writing ability.

It gave me the confidence to think of myself as a writer and to use my authentic voice.

It's definitely my happy song.

Well, that's me cancelling Netflix. Back to reading and writing, both good for the soul.

I was thinking about rainfall and how it sounds different in the forest compared to an urban space. In the forest, the sound the rain makes when it hits the leaves and the damp earth is almost musical as if the trees, rain and earth are singing to each other.

Oh well, we still have MLK, Captain Beefheart and Ivor Cutler.
