Just to clarify a bit, I wish that our civics education was more in-depth, but at least we had something.

I'm not sure now, but 25-30 years ago, the NC education system required US history in fifth grade (around 10 years old) then again in 11th grade (16-17). ELPSA I think the acronym was, was in 10th grade (15-16). Economic, legal, & political systems of America. I feel we lacked civic education.

My sympathies to you and all of Kiah's loved ones, and all of those grieving the loss of loved ones in this tragedy. We've lost so many lights in this tragedy.
