Acid for blood and hair like wild spiders
Yes, I don’t think she stayed here, but some of her enormous household did

One of our most beautiful crescents and we have a few. My favourite little fact is that little pitched roof in the middle on the left hand side has a royal coat of arms on it, because it’s where Queen Victoria would house some of her enormous brood when she came on holiday.

This is Purrelli, only a year in and she is already in her Tiny-Tears name era. Lots of cats find they need their theme tune sung to them as they walk in the room too

I was indeed talking of the Grange Road one, where the picture you posted was. I know Michael’s blog. Very little that man doesn’t know. He needs a medal.

I don’t think it was converted as the original windmill which started its life on the East Cliff was wooden. I think the design might have been a nod to the windmill though, and although it was demolished in 1922 I miss it every day. If you close your eyes though you can hear the sails turn.

I saw this the other day in King George’s Park and thought it might be one, but when I looked it up it was luckily a Hornet Mimic Hoverfly. Enormous and quite similar. Very pretty.

Now I’m questioning why I spend £14.99 a month on the indispensable BNA when I could walk 10 mins down the rd to the biggest Spoons in the country, and use it for free…

I walk past it often and imagine the sounds of the pool, and try and spot architectural memories of it. I heard concrete cancer and it was too expensive to fix at the time. This remains, and the beautiful old photos

Bizarre isn’t it? EU? “We must leave, sovereignty or something.” Elon wants to overthrow our government and invade our country? Silence.

When I saw those limes they’d been squished. I think they were decorations that came out of the temple

She reads the audiobook herself, it is very good, surprisingly harrowing in places

I’ve rubbed that guy’s nose, but I didn’t know about the coin thing. Probably explains why I haven’t been back to Florence yet

I met a 16 year old boy whose Dad was killed by the Taliban. Women can’t travel so his Mum handed him his 3 year old brother to get safely to his Uncle here. He was 13. It took him three years. He didn’t let his brother out of his sight. He’s a hero and I would take him over this lady any day.

I haven’t seen your tweets for months on Twitter, but on here you’ve popped up regularly which is one of the many reasons it’s better here

Remarkably, I had a phone call from a local dentist recently asking if my son needed an NHS dentist. In we went, treatment done, and see you again in 6 months. Amazing, they were probably the exception, but good for them
