Traveler 🧳 Baylor Bear 🐻 Wife to a feminist hubby 💙 An empty-nester (son=fly fishing guide in Montana; daughter=USC in Cali) 🫶🏻 Exvangelical 📚 Reader 📝 Curriculum Writer 🏳️‍🌈 Ally she/her.
I need Holly Rowe to do her magic and let us know what’s up w Juju.

(I personally know where an imaging machine is on USC campus as I stumbled upon it once when looking for the ladies room. Did they take her there?!?! Do they have one in the facility? I need info!)

I took Chaco to the vet today for her Rabies and parvo vaccinations and had a thought.

Do anti-vaxxers also refuse vaxxes for their dogs? Do they get their dogs and cats rabies and Bordetella shots?

Please enjoy the adorableness that Chaco is. She also got a pupcup after!

I’ve recovered from our losses. #sicemforever (Put things in perspective real quick when your ER hubby has a child abuse case at work—4 month old.)

I’m fully on the Juju and USC train for my daughter. She just bought her tix for their game tomorrow night.

Just look at stat lines. Shows everything you need to know so far.

I can see what you’re saying but it’s not like Baylor hasn’t played top tear teams all year (go look at our schedule). We do NOT foul like this. Here’s an example of when we played Houston a couple of weeks ago.

Good news. Radley has also assumed the same position.

Up to 24 books. (A couple have been rereads but they still count!)
I really liked Quicksilver. And Rebecca Yarros is turning into one of my favorite authors. Lucy Score has been one for a while now.

I was thinking about these…

Hell yes.

Finished number 17 tonight.
I didn’t know if I’d like “The Well Trained Wife” but it was very good. Very well written. Listened on Libby, but I think I’ll go buy a hard copy of it.

I’m up to 15 books for 2025. 2 of my last couple of books were rereads but I probably took more time with them than i did on the first read through them.

I’ve never been more relieved nor proud to have never voted for that MFer. Ever.

I’m so f’in mad at everyone who did.

I finished book 10. And of course, it’s a big time popular one right now. I’m now completely consumed with booktok and reels!!

Highly recommend Onyx Storm. 5⭐️s (Make sure you read Fourth Wing and Iron Flame first!)

It’s gonna be hard to start reading the next one, or even pick it.

Today was the worst for me so far. I’m so irate. I typed up a few posts on IG. I’ll probably lose friends and family over them, but what do you do except speak truth.

Up to 9 books for 2025.
Listened to Shadow and Bone series, apparently to get to the next one by the same author (this is what my daughter told me to do.)

Really enjoyed The Lost Bookstore. Different than other books I’ve read. (3.5 ⭐️s)

Here is what I’ve read so far.

LOVED The Folk of the Air series by Holly Black.

I didn’t like The Last Mrs Parrish bc I hated all the characters 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, this ended up being just the best wildlife day, so much more than we imagined. It’s always so hit or miss but we got lucky to see almost every available animal in Yellowstone.

We cannot recommend it more. If you’re ever in Bozeman, do it!!

We came across another herd of bison…and a baby bison. Andrea said it’s the latest bison born he’s seen, and he’s surprised every time he sees it bc it’s so vulnerable to the cold and predators. He doesn’t think the little guy will make it thru the winter, sadly. Bison are born with reddish coat.

We were all so stoked at the wildlife we’d seen. It was more than any of us thought we’d see. We’d also given up on seeing wolves bc none of the guides had seen them.

We stopped to see a black bear den, eat lunch and to see a frozen waterfall. With binoculars/scope, we could see the bear’s butt!!

Since none of the guides had spotted the wolves, Andrea decided to take us to see if we could spot some mountain goats…and we did!!!

I didn’t get a pic w my phone bc they were not visible without a scope or binoculars. Here is a pic of his phone on the scope, you can kind of make out the goats.
January 3, 2025 at 3:58 AM
We also got to see a few coyotes that were also trying to feed on the bison. Just some really cool “circle of life” observations today. We watched that area for a while waiting for wolves…still nada. I decided to take pictures of the landscape bc that’s what I do.

At this point, Madysen mentioned she’d really love to see a bald eagle. Within one minute, we spotted a golden eagle…and with 5 minutes, several bald eagles eating on the bison carcass. We decided she was speaking our wildlife spottings into existence.

Sadly, no wolves. <sad face>
