it's really quite sturdy, we didn't have any attachment or splices fail

this thing took up most of the warehouse space and we had like 75 people crammed in there trying to get drinks in the back corner and it was really fun watching people duck under it, trying to decide if it was okay to touch (yes), accidentally walking into it, etc

i did not do a good job of taking pictures of the other teams' work but everyone did some really incredible shit for this project

i designed the piece in grasshopper, which worked beautifully since we had a model of the space, so all i had to do was place the lake profile and tell it where the beams were. excited to have a portfolio piece with a parametric model fabricated at large scale

somehow i ended up on an evening flight during the biggest geomagnetic storm of the year in a north-facing window seat away from the wing. there is no accounting for how i could have possibly gotten this lucky
