Cooking Grandpa!
Fanart of Rezo and Zelgadis cooking in a kitchen; Rezo has a pink frilly apron and headscarf on, while Zelgadis is wearing a simple brown apron. Picture of "Val-kun" that apparently came with a Slayers TRY drama CD, which I am posting here mainly so I can show them to my mom.
Toddler Valgaav sleeping with Filia in her dragon form. Filia's tail rests over Val's torso, and in his sleep little Val has an uncomfortable dream of being crushed by a great weight. Little Val crying while Filia scolds him, telling him about the monstrous Lina Inverse. He has broken a window playing baseball with Jillas- the ball and broken glass is on the floor, and a dismayed Jillas in a baseball cap peeks in through the window. Filia holds little Val in her arms and gently smiles as he plays with a rattle.

Catch a falling star.

And to answer your question about how some people function when driving- first, road signs are generally designed to be as easy to read as possible. They're bright colors, the letters are big and clearly shaped, and there's a lot of pictorial elements. You don't need a high reading level for these.

Zelgadis respects his grandfather. Sometimes, this is very difficult.

Big Bad Wolf Falin eats some random plant, to the horror of Little Red Riding Marcille.

Zelgadis as the Little Mermaid! Wishing for a human soul...
