Tea is a time capsule of a particular sunny day, a month of humidity, the skilled hands of a particular worker.

This Sake Barrel Aged Sencha tastes nothing like what I thought it would. And it's beautiful.

I love Rishi Tea for their one of a kind teas...and I also hate them. So many small batch teas I will never get to taste again! But then, that's the way of good tea. It isn't homogenized; it's aged and fermented in unrepeatable ways.

I got this baby on Kickstarter, but there are still a few extras available for sale on their website. It costs a lot but its worth it for just the quality tea and teaware, let alone this mystery puzzle game based upon the true, disturbing history of how the Brits started their tea fields.

Out of respect for the game makers, Tangible Narrative, (and for anyone wanting to play it) I'm not going to show much, as just about everything is a clue to the game. But check out this travel desk full of stuff! Not only game materials, but decorations, tea, flowers, and drinking equipment.

I am so glad that I spent the money on this tea game! Yep, that's right. A tea game. Actually there are many games about tea, but The Great Tea Robbery is unique in that drinking tea is part of solving the puzzles. Everything pictured comes with the game...except for the water. That'd be weird.

A merry first day of December to all! Many tea companies offer an advent calendar, but I've never actually gotten one before. This year I was surprise gifted this one by a really generous friend. Plum Deluxe is one of my favorite flavored tea companies and I'm looking forward to trying out day 1!

Was hesitant to try this tea, as I'm not a mint fan and this contains spearmint, but the combo of milky oats and genmaicha sounded delicious. And it is!

One of the few teas I've featured that can actually be found locally in #HuntsvilleAL. This tea from Ritual Cravt is carried at Bewitched Alabama

It's that time of year again...it's the time when I talk about how delicious this Plum Deluxe tea is. Spicy Caramel Apple Cinnamon Herbal is like they took the fantasy ideal of apple picking and made it into a tisane. 🍎🍂

A peaceful Dia de Muertos to you. Breaking out this tea in honor of the death goddess this Day of the Dead. Condolences for your beloved dead, and wishing you joy as you continue to live your life.

Don't miss this one because I'm bring the tea! I'm guesting on a special spooky charity stream!

I'm also supplying tea as part of the gift package for those who give $100. All donations go to Stream For A Cause, a charity supporting grassroots organizations.

Fall is just beginning in earnest here in the South. I'm still on late summer fruit teas and not quite ready for the spiced. This toasty oolong with peaches from @fridaytea.com hits the spot.

(I may have posted about it before but I don't care. It's tasty.)

Tis the season for Halloween Oreos! The best teatime cookie, hands down, but only the Halloween ones.

Happy Moon-Viewing Festival! Usually in September, this Asian holiday came later this year. This evening, have a cup of tea, a mooncake or tsukimi dango (if you have one), and sit outside to gaze at the full moon. 🐰🌕🥮🍵

Enjoying a rich smokey tea & blueberry muffin outside in my backyard. As I have shared before, I've been taking care of my mother for the past nine months. She died yesterday night. We often dismiss simple joys like teatime as "decadent" or "selfish" if we have a lot of responsibilities. However...

When there's winter in your soul, put spring in your cup. Enjoying this special edition floral tea from the Cherry Blossom Festival last Spring.

☕️ This delightful dragonfly cup was a gift and I know nothing about it other than I can tell it is vintage Japanese ceramic

Had a wonderful mindful moment with this group of friends at their own session of Cloud Drinking! Want to attend with a group and won't all fit into a regular session? Event times never work with your schedule? I do private tea tastings and tea rituals in the North Alabama area, too.

Reading Kodo Nishimura's story and learning the wisdom they have to share. Even though my situation right now is very different from theirs, I was given a teaching that I needed to hear today. 🍵
Teatime is a necessity for living our best life. Thats just facts.
