sometimes i wonder if i did the wrong thing in estranging myself from my parents, and then i have a session with my therapist in which he has to pause to say “wow i fucking hate your parents!” after i share something MILD about them and i remember ohhh no they do suck huh

It is 2025. We are no longer saying “dissociative identity disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder.“ It’s time to move on. It has not been MPD in years and years and years. “Oh, but it’s easier to explain.” Not really! Bc alters aren’t “personalities,” so it’s just more confusing.
