While others rush to ensure food security, you've shown true restraint, a virtue rarely seen in governance today. Some might see isolation as weakness, but I see it as a firm commitment to principle. After all, why follow the crowd when you can confidently stand alone, even if it means standing against the interests of your own constituents? Thank you again for your steadfast example. To everyone who followed Charlie and gave him power and to anyone who wants to force people to respect him in death: nope.
There's a kid somewhere, or ten kids or a hundred, who were beaten up for being gay after their attackers saw Charlie Kirk bark about "gay, lesbian, trans GARBAGE" at his kids' school. There's a kid somewhere who heard that and stayed home from school the next day, in fear, or shame. There's a father somewhere who gave in to his worst impulses and used the word to his own gay son. There are millions and millions of people who, after hearing words like that from Charlie Kirk and others like him for years and years, voted for a vile, hateful authoritarian who ratified those words.

A member of the Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, she represented northern parts of the Twin Cities metropolitan area in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 until her assassination in 2025, serving as the House minority leader from 2017 to 2019 and as speaker from 2019 to January 2025. During her tenure, she advocated for transportation, environmental rights, abortion rights, police reform, and gun control policies. She was also the chief author of the state's solar energy standard. On June 14, 2025, Hortman and her husband were shot dead in their home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Tanks in the streets of our capital. Economy slowing. Inflation rising. Unemployment rising. Cost of living rising. Incoming tourism decimated. Consumer protections gutted. Medicaid and Snap stripped away. Science and medicine defunded. Colleges blackmailed. Museums and libraries threatened. Harassment and detainment of law abiding people by ICE.
