You wouldn't get specifics at a press conference and especially at a Trump one but can't we start out from a postion of wanting this to succeed ? The press won't and the Tories wouldnt know how but can't we?

The UK media have never been worse at talking down ANY government ...Ever! Nothing this government does is ever talked up. For example : Winter Fuel allowance is talked about endlessly still despite for example pensions increasing by £400 in April...never mentioned. Everything reported negatively

We'll see but wanting the govt to succeed and recognising the toxic corrupt bias of the press and the Tories is extremely important. It has literally never been worse.

Everyone sensible and grown up wants the govt to succeed but shamefully our media and opposition parties will make it their job to talk it down.There are a class of people in the UK who don't even realise that they 'get off' on being automatically negative about this govt no matter what. Toxic.

I want the government to succeed. Reform and the Tories would slag the deal regardless of the detail. Sensible people not playing politics have to believe in this deal until it proves otherwise...its the grown up thing to do.

I'm repulsed by Donald Trump and everything he stands for but we are in the world we are in and trade need to happen. If the UK government have sold us short then it will come to light but knee jerk predictable negative reactions from people who see that as their job aren't worth taking seriously.
