Get vaccinated at clinics, GPs, Hauora Māori or Pacific health providers, or participating pharmacies - many offer walk-ins. Stay home if you're unwell and watch for symptoms.

More cases are expected, and NZ remains at high risk.
✅ What you can do.
Immunisation is your best protection. Two doses of the MMR vaccine protect ~99% of people.
Check your immunisation status.

Thanks Grant! Appreciate the feedback. Bluesky is one of our more 'newsy' channels but we also have FB, IG, TikTok, X, and there's a lot more context there. The daily update is just part of the overall approach. But very much appreciated and we will take this on board! Thanks! 🙏🏽

Kia ora, the advice is only for people who have lived in NZ/grown up in NZ. Best to check your overseas records to see if you've been immunised with two doses of MMR, or check with the health service of your previous country to find out your likely status. Your GP may have advice.

Kia ora, we've been clear NZ has a measles outbreak with community spread. There's a system wide plan for managing the outbreak, the measles immunisation week is just an extra 'push' on top of everything else happening. We will be promoting MMR till the outbreak is contained and regularly as BAU.
