The 2-pronged approach of D&I science involves strategically communicating evidence to target audiences & adopting #research findings in real-world settings. Only 14% of #research findings reach practice, typically taking 17 years. While handwashing took decades to adopt, COVID-19 vaccines demonstrated that rapid implementation is possible. This stark contrast highlights fundamental flaws in traditional research-to-practice approaches. #healthcare
